Army Reservist Wins Fight Against Iraq Call-Up

Posted on Monday, November 08 at 11:08 by nancymarie
This week, an Army reservist won an honorable discharge from a federal judge in New York after he sued the military for attempting to extend his service through the “stop-loss” program. In a similar case in California, a National Guardsman known only as John Doe had his service extended. A federal judge denied Doe’s request for a preliminary injunction to block his deployment. He will be sent to Iraq in two weeks. By Reuters Republished from The New York Times http://www.nytimes.com/reuters/news/news-rights-iraq-soldier.html?pagewanted=print&position=
