Sources said yesterday that the Bush administration has been pressing Ottawa for a decision on the warning technology, a crucial stage in Washington's timetable for beginning deployment of missile defence systems in California and Alaska this fall."

The Liberals plan on joining missile defence but are wary of the timing, because it could hurt their election chances.

"It is 'a vote loser' acknowledged an adviser who supports Canadian involvement."

    What happens if Martin doesn't get elected? How many letters and petitions do we have to sign to get the message to these guys?
