Stevens Asks To See File On Tory Merger

Posted on Monday, March 08 at 10:22 by KevinGagnon

Lawyer Peter Rosenthal, who is representing Mr. Stevens, said he received only the documents that Chief Electoral Officer Jean-Pierre Kingsley deemed relevant to his decision to register the new party. Mr. Rosenthal said he wants all the material in his possession having to do with the Progressive Conservative Party because his client was denied his constitutional right to challenge the merger before it was approved.

Good. I'd find it first, very funny and second most fortuitous if it turns out to be an illegal merger. Maybe then David Orchard and the PCs can get on with the CANADIAN version of Conservative.

I truly hope that they are found guilty. I hope the real PC party comes back.

Some may argue that the CPC is the only possible alternative to beat the liberals. I would argue to them that it don't matter since both parties will almost give the same results. Annexation of Canada.

The only alternative really is NDP or the real PC party coming back.

Kevin when you say 'real' you are meaning pre-Mulroney I suspect? Cause the pc party will sell us out, they are the instigators behind the first betrayal the Free trade!

    Whelan,

I mean the Progressive Conservative (re: David Orchard and Sinclair Stevens.)

The ones who are trying to bring the Progressive Conservative party back to its original structure (re: values, policies, vision etc...) Are the ones I would vote for in this upcoming election.

I'm also following the Progressive Canadian Party which I believe has a very small but possible chance of becoming part of the upcoming election. I don't have all the details though. I'm not told everything /-:

What I do know is this party has former Progressive Conservative members backing it. David Orchard and his supporters have already refused to be a part of it. Their set on saving the Progressive Conservative name. They will not accept that the Conservative name can't be used in another political party name. However, this lawsuit may change things.
