To all the overly optimistic fools who still think that the Liberal Party under the banner of "Dion" will somehow magically become better than before, here's your answer.

    Unfortunately, I have to agree.

I wonder where the next place we'll find Ignatieff's fingerprints will be.

For all we know Ignatieff is calling all the shots. Who says the leader has to be the leader? The silly thing is that just about all of the people we hated so much and voted against are still entrenched inside the Liberal Party, so for it to suddenly correct itself is the definition of wishful thinking. The Liberal neocons just could not hold back, and they show their true (and old) nature by presenting this idiotic bill before an election. If there's a strategy in it, I don't get it unless they have enough MP's all bribed up and ready to vote it through. Perhaps they all know that they don't have a hope in hell of getting enough support come next election for a so-called "majority" and they are now acting like suicide bombers with nothing to loose.

This is a very sad situation, but it speaks to the problem of painting people
with a broad brush, labels are so ridiculous. All members of any party are not
going to be the same, have the same agenda etc. Clearly we have had some
very strong indications of how easily people slide between and back and forth
from the Liberals and Conservatives/alliance parties. The ease of movement
tells me that we cannot consider them separate anymore. We must consider
each member and their ability to convince us, or to prove they are who they
say they are, and their word is worthy of our trust. We are going to have to
look for evidence to prove that each individual that asks for our vote is
worthy of our acceptance of them as our representative.

It is truly time to move past the party slogans and party platforms, we know
already that no politician can be held to election promises, so we need
another venue. We need another method to reveal truth. We need another
process of testing and considering people in the job interview. I can't think of
another area of our lives where we would hire someone knowing that they
may or may not be lying and then when we find out they are lying or have
misrepresented themselves we keep paying them and allow them to do
whatever they want! If I hired an accountant and he/she didn't represent me, I
would fire them immediately. But even worse if they said its none of my
business what they were doing with my money! We wouldn't accept this in the
real world, so why do allow this behaviour in politics?

This law is more of the anti-terrosism b.s., it is simply the tool to allow them
to stop us from being free people. Why do we accept this? Why do we desire
to be considered suspects by those we hire? How do they perceive the public
at large? Are we all considered criminals? It would seem so. What are they
    afraid of?

If only we really did hire these people then we could fire them. Tell me how do we fire these liars and thieves without running foul of the "law"? If we wait for the next election, it is *far* too late! Second, these liars and thieves sign up on supposedly legally binding contracts without our consent (like me selling *your* house without you agreeing to it!), so how do we tear up those illegal contracts with the USA (and others, but mostly the USA) without generating a war?

What we're talking about is using armed force to stop what's going on, and most certainly armed force to tear up and reverse the "agreements". There's only one possible reason for "anti-terrorism" laws, therefore it is clear that the "authorities" are taking the possibility of an armed rebellion as a serious concern (all the "security" laws are designed around this one concern).

Is there another way to "fix" the problem that you know of? I'd like to hear about it. I know about Mahatma Gandhi's method, but we have to be prepared to face the firing squad when push comes to shove, and we'd need a fairly large following of dedicated believers. I still see far too many people being so easily bribed with their own money, and too many people pee their pants when the government comes knocking at their door. These "anti-terror" laws are clearly designed so that individuals can be isolated, threatened, and beaten up, or if need be "disappeared", so again the authorities have long ago been making their moves in preparation.

The census protest was a ray of hope, but that was child's play compared to what we ultimately have to do to reverse the more serious problems this country has. I know in large enough numbers we can easily defeat the criminals that are in power, but do we have those numbers and are there enough people in the front of the line ready to face up to the task?

They perceive the public as sheep or slaves - take your pick. Yes, we are all considered criminals. After all, a liar doesn't believe anyone. They're afraid of the majority of people waking up and realizing what kind of scam they have been running all these years.
