Yes, keep your eyes open for those pesky Danes. Shoot first, ask questions later.

But to actually LIVE up there (far from our US cousins)? Scary thought!!

Well, they would be violating our borders. There's not many other reasons to be running around in baffin bay.

Canadians are asking, why do americans hate us? They hate our freedoms: our freedom of religion, our freedom of speech, our freedom to disagree with each other.

It is quite beautiful. Whitehorse in spring/summer still has that 'small town' feel, and the scenery is far more stunning than Jasper.

When nine soldiers constitute a 'sovereignty patrol' Canadians should be embarrassed. Unfortunately, too many Canadians don't seem to care.

More on these and other patrols and sovereignty issues in the Arctic: Canada presses claims in Arctic
---
Now call it extreme if you like, but I propose we hit it hard, and we hit it fast, with a major, and I mean major, leaflet campaign.--Rimmer, Red Dwarf
Nine soldiers is all we possess. Having all of our armed forces at one site is quite an accomplishment. Makes you just proud as punch. Why don't we get some US marines to help us out? It is afterall in the American sphere of influence.

Its a start at least, better than nothing. It least these people are serving their country. Why don't you go up there and help them out since you state they are few in number.

I am also curious to know how many people that come on this site are pretending to be Canadians when they are posting and are actually foreigners? I am not saying you are, but I am sure there are some.

Does this happen administrators, is there a way to know?

    I must admit I am a foreigner.
Living, born and raised in Toronto.
This website is certainly foreign to me.

Nowadays you can be born, raised, and live in Toronto and still be a foreigner. As for the topic at hand it is good Canada is displaying its sovereignty over the arctic. Whether it is nine soldiers or two it does not matter. The point of the exercise is to show that Canada has claim to these territories. And yes, Canadians do care.

Well if you don't like our great country why don't you leave?
