The Conservatives have opened up at 10-point lead, 39-29, over the Liberals nationally. The NDP remains unchanged at 18 per cent, while the Bloc is at nine per cent.
And the pollster predicts there is little the Liberals will be able to do in the last nine days of the campaign to reverse this decline; they have fallen too far behind the Conservatives and are facing the end of 12 years in power.

The system is working for the few and until we stop voting and supporting these oligarch's ,nothing will change. Casting your vote on the 23 of January will send the statement that you are ok with the system as it is and reform is not needed.
Not voting will send the message you do not support corruption and "you" demand change and real accountability.

Good government is not a party government
The prospect of a party actually trying out some new and different ideas is far too scary for us timid Canadians. We seem to prefer the devil we know.
“The main mark of modern governments is that we do not know who governs, de facto any more than de jure. We see the politician and not his backer; still less the backer of his backer; or what is most important of all, the BANKER of the backer.”

Wayne Coaday’s “Don’t Vote” campaign without on-going supporting public action will not send the kind of message needed.
Besides, why would one deal with flunkies when the message must be, not sent, but delivered via public proclamation to the “Banker of the backer”?
At this point in time there is little will to do so and I see no change of public disposition on the horizon either.

Of course you would. You're a socialist. You won't be happy until the wealth is all confiscated and redistributed, and we all receive our paycheques and get all our boo-boos kissed better by our surrogate mommies in the federal government.
You see perpetual dependency, social engineering and the subordination of individual rights and liberties to same vague (politican-defined) notion of the collective good as "Canadian values". I don't.
"Also, we do fear the devil we know, and the worst devil out there is the one who sports that blue 'C' with the maple leaf in the middle of it."
Canadians will ultimately decide who the greater devil is. I consider the party that wants *more* government control over our lives to be the greater evil. I guess that would make Sheila Copps and Allan Rock more appropriate substitutes for Old Nick than Paul Martin. But heck, close enough.
If "Good" could and would triumph over "evil", it should have a long time ago.
The party system is the problem and I will not support such a dirty system... therefore I shall as many other Canadian in this election will... we will NOT VOTE. We will not support a system that we do not agree with, we will not prop up the old boys club and our numbers will increase.
Political parties have sickened this nations people, these parties have corrupted what was once our
Government". A no vote is a safe protest against the establishment..to vote is to support the establishment.
Many Canadian have pulled their heads out of the sand and many more will in this election, they will not vote, the system is in a down ward spin and the parties know it.. they are afraid lost and in a panic .. it to late .
Those who supported the corrupt system are filling up the grave yards and the youth know better.. they are much smarter and know that political parties are and have been and will be the problem to good governing of Canada, they will not support corruption, they want a future.

Good government is not a party government
my uncle.
In order for this "Good" you speakof to triumph first "Good"
must exist is sufficiant number, then be unswerving.
The existing politicos are handmaidens to the "evil"
Until you and others of "Good" (You *are*one of the "Good" are you not?)cognise who the "evil" are- the statis quo will hold.
By you not speaking out against who owns the politicos you have, it appears, missed my point.

Until the wealth is "confiscated"???????????
The "wealth" you prattle on about is and has been since fractional banking fiat money came into being in the hands of the banks.

Do not fear this election there will be fewer people voting than ever before and only because they are sick of the present corrupt self serving party system.
What you are about to see is the death of the party structure as it is today, we are going to make advances in Canada towards political reform.
In the next election even fewer will vote and if they pull that forced voting off on Canadians , they will pay a price.
No my friend this old system is in the toilet heading for the sewer, we will soon be rid of that bad smell.

Good government is not a party government
what willhappen is a dictatorship will fill the void and quite frankly it looks good on those who sleep
The system has to be reformed. Only a person who is part that under 2% who dictate how this country will be run, are the only ones who want to hang onto it.
Someone has been dumbed down to believe that political parties represent the democratic process, well this is not the case, it is very misleading.
Soon all those party dictators will be in the grave yards of Canada and our youth will be the new leaders and the only ones to take this country and world in the right direction.
Youth are not voting in very large numbers, because they know better... they understand that if you want to get an accountable governing system , you must not support this present one. Our youth have it right.. the political parties have it wrong.

Good government is not a party government
That is quite the entertaining yarn you spin. I tend to disagree though. Most (emphasis on most) of our youth doesn't vote because they take their freedoms for granted. It is not some coordinated political statement. They don't vote because they are more concerned with what is on their iPod. Look at the last US election. P Diddy and these other severely Dim Hollywood entertainers had the youth convinced that if the didn't vote for the Heinze Ketchup man the world would come to an end. Turns out they were too busy making Micheal Moore, and Green Day into millionaire socialists (with daddy's money) to show up on voting day.
They know that it is wrong for less than 2% of a voting population to have that much power, they are much brighter, more educated to the world and they know that when it comes to doing business in the world, the earth is flat.
Mark my words.. the voter turn out will fall once more and the youth are turning away.. membership numbers in political youth wings are way down, as are party membership number, I know, I gave two of them a try over the years and they all are hurting big time.
On a CTV documentry last week they made mention that the only members of the New Brunswick Liberal party that are still on the books , can really be found in the grave yards and were never stricken off.. go figure.. the same holds true here in Nova Scotia. It pretty hard to get a dead man to drive your election sign in the ground these days and those few, who are still doing the leg work are getting old.
No voting movement is a growning movement and our numbers will be much higher this time around too.
