KAMLOOPS (BC Newspaper Group) — The eighth protest camp has come down at Sun Peaks after more than a dozen Kamloops RCMP officers converged on the area.
RCMP alerted the handful of protesters still in the camp that they would be arrested if they didn't leave peacefully. About an hour after alerting protesters, three were taken into custody, and four walked away. But they will return, said former Neskonlith Indian Band chief Arthur Manuel, who was on site.
"It's really a question of beliefs. The people here know this is their land."

If I stand for my country today...will my country be here to stand for me tomorrow?
