Washington Marine Group is still studying the ferries' possible revival and will probably make a decision by March, when it will have a detailed cost analysis, CEO Steve Frasher said Friday.
"People would be willing to give the FastCats a second chance," said Frasher, referring to opinion surveys the company did.
The three aluminum-hulled ferries cost the province $454 million to build, but WMG paid just $20 million at auction in March 2003. The trio of 122.5-metre catamarans has been tied up since then.
