FastCat Ferries Might Be Back In B.C. Waters

Washington Marine Group is still studying the ferries' possible revival and will probably make a decision by March, when it will have a detailed cost analysis, CEO Steve Frasher said Friday. "People would be willing to give the FastCats a second chance," said Frasher, referring to opinion surveys the company did. The three aluminum-hulled ferries cost the province $454 million to build, but WMG paid just $20 million at auction in March 2003.
