So Much For A "Fair And Impartial Trial"

Defence lawyer Arif Raza expressed a similar sentiment, saying he sees no need for a ban now that much of the information has been released to the public. "Rather than have speculation in the press, I think that justice would be better served by accurately reporting what precisely had happened in the court rather than speculate," said Raza. Ahmad Shehab, a Muslim counsellor, called it a "publication scam." "If you accuse people you might as well show things, clear, transparent, due process, crystal clear evidence so the public could see," Shehab said outside the courthouse west of Toronto. http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20060612/terror_pubban_060612/20060612?hub=CTVNewsAt11 [Proofreader's note: this article was edited for spelling and typos on June 13, 2006]

The al Qaeda operations manual encourages it's followers to make claims of tortute and humiliation against their captors. This is as plain as they can make it.
Do not ignore their well documented strategy. It is dishonest of them and you.

According to the police, the group had nothing to do with "al Qaeda".

The police spewed forth all sorts of propaganda about the arrests, but when it comes to the accused, they are not allowed to say anything.

I see much more than a little bias here.

If the case is left open and fair, the lawyers will be dancing circles around the prosecution - they already are and a trial has not even started!
