Deconstructing Canada ..One Canadian At A Time

Recently, Calvert said as much in a statement made to news media when he stated "Harper has done more to divide Canada by trying to buy votes with money he's thrown at Ontario and Quebec." Or, words to that effect, certainly. Why not? Why wouldn't Stephen Harper want to make every effort to break up this Canadian nation? If you believe in the old saw that "United we stand ... divided we fall," then Harper's recent actions make perfect sense. Let's not forget the history surrounding Stephen Harper. Stephen Harper admitted prior to the last election that his mentor was/is Brian Mulroney ... in fact, Harper calls him quite frequently, even today. If you're now making less of an income than you were, say, ten to fifteen years ago, thank Brian Mulroney, Jean Chretien and both the CONservative and Liberal parties for playing the "New Order" game and allowing your jobs to go to Mexico, India and China so that you, too, can now experience being a "Third World" citizen. But I digress. Brian Mulroney, it's said, "has never seen an American ass he wasn't compelled to kiss." Because of his association with Ronald Reagan and, certainly, with George "W" Bush, Washington's grasp on this country is even more solidified with today's "consenting adult", Stephen Harper. Canada has everything the United States needs, yesterday. In addition to oil in Alberta, Americans want our "other oil", water. Because of free-wheeling exploitation in the contiguous U.S., their water supplies are limited. Canada has it all. Untold mineral wealth, timber, coal, gold, diamonds, iron. You name it, we got it. We also have had an enviable social base of universal medical care and, basically, "a kinder, gentler society" that the Americans, with the help of the likes of Stephen Harper, is in the process of subverting in order to improve the bottom line for those who would have total control of Canada. Stephen Harper's recent favouritism to the provinces of Ontario and Quebec is nothing more than an overt effort to buy himself a majority government from the larger populations of potential voters in both of those provinces who have traditionally dictated to the rest of this country which way our political fortunes will go. We here in the Atlantic provinces have a shrinking population as more of our young leave situations of chronic low or no employment, high taxes and a high cost of living that is not offset by living wages. Harper's home province of Alberta, on the other hand, was the beneficiary of millions from Ottawa, even though there is no evidence of need in this ghetto of the super rich. When you live in an economically depressed area like Nova Scotia, whose problems are further exacerbated by corrupt and inept governments who hide under a constant veil of secrecy, it's no wonder that residents feel envious and relegated to becoming second-class citizens of their own country. Harper, whose power comes out of the oil wealth of his native province ... by way of Dallas and Washington, is doing, in a subtle way, precisely as expected of him by the people who engineered his present position for him. Today, he is the leader of a minority government that has used every trick of "spin" to parlay him into a majority position... much of his American campaign style coming directly out of Washington ... along with continual television ads that lambaste the fledgling and struggling "leader" of the Liberals. All this with no declared election. Television advertising is not cheap ... unless you can steal it from public coffers, or unless good friends in very high places are willing to bankroll you to a majority. Of course, the last alternative is always an option. You could steal the election as George W. Bush did. The day Stephen Harper gets that MAJORITY, he can finish the job on behalf of his master that Brian Mulroney began with NAFTA, and the "New World Order" will be closer to becoming reality. So, don't direct your anger at the provinces of Ontario and Quebec... don't even be envious of Alberta's wealth. Instead, be very wary and informed and never give Harper or any other party a majority government in Canada. Without that majority, politicians are still answerable to the people of Canada and should be getting their orders from THEM, not the "backroom boys" or Washington.
