Is The NDP Moving More To The Right?

Posted on Tuesday, March 30 at 11:21 by KevinGagnon
What does this mean for Canadian society? The corporations that have made huge profits by polluting the environment and taking advantage of overheated urban expansion are now going to maintain their profits through tax reductions while supposedly providing the solutions to the problems they created in the first place. That the NDP are ready to support this double profit taking from the public sector is so far from traditional left wing thinking that it could be considered right wing.

What do you think?

This post is for some reason not showing up on the front page. I think someone had mentioned the reason for this before, can't remember.

Kevin, I'd be interested in watching that episode of Politics (they keep
them on their website for a week) you mention. Was it the morning or
afternoon edition, was it on a panel of people, or was it an interview?

I'm surprised at what that person said, because that sounds like very
watered down NDP policy. Like you don't like the sound of it.

But your comment about NDP support for Kyoto being contingent on
exemptions for auto companies is not true. Layton has been pro-Kyoto
from the begining no questions asked. Where did you hear this?

    Hello Sara,

It was just from a online friend of mine who was a former progressive conservative, and is now a progressive canadian. Do you mind if I forward your response to her, I had promised to let her know of any responses.

    Kevin
