Albertan Becomes 2nd Elected Senator

he first elected senator, Stan Waters, who was also from Alberta, was appointed by former Conservative prime minister Brian Mulroney. Harper and his Conservatives first announced their intention to appoint Brown in April. A former farmer from Kathyrn, Alta., Brown has been a strong advocate for changes in the Senate.
