e) Details will be finalized via email, and another meeting will take place nearer the end of April (22nd) to get a master plan together on a united front to combat a company convicted of many crimes from knowing too much about Canadian Citizens. 3. Editorial Report--Dr Caleb a) There is a large number of anti-seal hunt posting daily. Most are severely lacking in accurate information, or outright falsehoods. They get deleted. b) The quality and Content of Vive has greatly improved since not allowing Anon's to post. Anon's can still submit stories, and try to slip comments in through the body of the story, but Dr C's unofficial editorial policy is to remove these comments. Anons cannot comment, even through this method. The full political spectrum from the Anarchist Left to the Authoritarian and Libertarian Right appear to be equally represented on Vive now. It makes for liveley reading. c) Another editor may be needed if Vive continues to grow as it has been. 4. Tech Report a) Jesse was not in attendance, but Dr Caleb ran through the basics as reported by Webalyzer. Vive continues to grow, with an average of 4000 hits per day, the greatest was around election time in January with 7000 hits per day. February and March had fewer hits per day than January, but still well into the growth over November and December. b) After the newest site upgrade, there were a few bugs that crept in, but Jesse is aware of them. c) The moderation system didn't work after the upgrade, but with the prevalence of a troll(s), Jesse reworked the system so it functioned mostly correctly. d) One story - 'Shunning' by Paul Harris generated 6968 page hits alone. Susan feels we should let all our original authors know how much of an impact they really have. 5. Volunteer Situation--Catherine a) Nothing really new with the Volunteers. Catherine will make reccomendations on a likely new editor at the next meeting. 6. Treasurer's Report--Milton a) There was approximately $378 in the account. Milton will distribute $200 to Susan towards the cost of incorporation. Susan will pay the rest. 7. Incorporation: a) As it's been some time since the incorporation papers were signed by board members, we should sign new ones. All board members will most likely be in Edmonton in mid-May, so we'll all arrange to get together on the 18th or 19th of May. 8. Adjournment
