Bakan is a UBC law prof & Rhodes Scholar. An extensive 2hr preview of the documentary came to UVic & Bakan was there to talk about it. I missed it though because I didn\'t think 500 people would want to see it & I didn\'t get a reservation. Insiders say it will be the Bowling for Columbine of 2004.

The dumbest thing we've done in the 20th century was to give corporations 'personhood'. They have all the legal rights - such as free speech and free association - as you and I, but none of the accountability. I eagerly await this documentary.<p> <p>---<br>"History does not repeat itself, but it does rhyme" Mark Twain

And they proportionally pay much less tax too! And they can get away with polluting more while someone who smokes cigarettes is demonized!
