The missive also asks for an informed public and political debate on the commerce pact, which aims to knock down tariff barriers and encourage investment. Prime Minister Stephen Harper has released no details about his government's proposed new policy to pass international treaties through Parliament, including whether politicians will be able to alter rules or defeat them. "This is one of several bilateral trade agreements that is being negotiated with no transparency, public, or parliamentary debate," says Nadja Drost, Program Officer, Americas Policy Group of the Canadian Council for International Cooperation in Ottawa, one of the groups opposing the mysterious negotiation process of the CA4. These so called "free trade agreements" are not agreements, but treaties, designed to strip peoples of their democratic decision making powers to develop their own economies to fit their own needs. The purpose of these treaties is to hand them over to colonization with imaginary capital created for the purpose by multinational carpetbagger crooks.

The fact that these treaties are negotiated in secret by brainwashed ideologues and the multinational corporate mafia shows that there's criminal intent behind them.

Of course, the Harper government, also the Martin govt. before them, both of the same mindset, are drooling over the hope to sign them to fulfill the mandate dictated by their owners, for borderless, global, corporate fascism .

I remember seeing Paul Martin on CBCTV once, years ago, exclaiming: " Globalization is now unstoppable!"

Like hell it is !!!! The nazis and the communists, of the same collectivizer mindset, claimed the same. The only difference between these globalizer crooks is the colour of the flags they're waving and the authors of the scriptures they're thumping.

It is about time to give swift kick in the asses of the lot and regain some of our democratic decision making powers.

Trade between equals is necessary and beneficial. But these treaties have little to do with genuine trade. Their purpose is the control of trade by a few oligopolic criminals, diverting the benefits into the pockets of the artificial entities of corporate shares. If corporations were democratic by any stretch of imagination, they would have one vote per shareholder, not by the number of shares they hold.

When certain people, or sectors vote with the power they control it is not democracy, but fascism.

I've read yesterday that David Orchard is contemplating entering the Liberal Leadership race. I hope he does. He can't win against the powers in control of the Party, but at least he could and would bring certain nasty facts out into the open. He should have joined the NDP long ago and get it going.

Do you sometimes get the feeling that we can shout and shout and shout, and we, having fulfilled the democratic process, stand aside as they go about their intended business anyway...........
