Afghan Offensive Claims Fifth Canadian Soldier

"This has been a tough hit, but Canadians are continuing the fight and continuing with operation Medusa," Brigadier-General David Fraser, the commander of NATO forces in southern Afghanistan, said in a statement released Monday. Canadian military officials would not confirm casualty figures while the operation was continuing. Families of the soldiers involved are being notified. No names have yet been released. The mishap occurred during after ground troops requested air support, NATO said. "Two ISAF [NATO's International Security Assistance Force] aircraft provided the support but regrettably engaged friendly forces during a strafing run, using cannons," the statement said. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20060904.wafghan04a/BNStory/Afghanistan/home [Proofreader's note: this article was edited for spelling and typos on September 5, 2006]

Maybe they should stop drugging their pilots. There seems to be a lot of evidence which shows that they are turned into mach speed homicidal maniacs who can't tell friend from foe and who shoot first and refuse to answer questions later at the advice of their lawyers and military commanders.

Lets get our troops out of Afghanistan and Haiti and anywhere else that the empire has placed them.

<blockquote>“It's enough that we have to deal with the threat coming from the outside and a very well-known enemy,” said Cpl. McKelvey.</blockquote> <br><br> Life's a bitch being <i>cohortes alariae</i> in the Empire of Liberty. The Americans don't care if the people they are blasting apart with their radioactive and toxic heavy metal weaponary are their allies or their intended targets. If Cpl. McKelvey's could break his brainwashing and see who the 'enemy' actually is, he would duck and run for cover each time an A-10 flew by. <br><br> <blockquote> "Canadian mortars and artillery, other U.S. and NATO warplanes and helicopter gunships also thundered down on the rebel positions."</blockquote> <br><br> Thunderd down, what poetry! They are "thundering down" [blowing up] rebels???? In order to rebel, one must first have an established authority to rebel against. The established authority in Afghanistan (aka 'the Taliban') is fighting off a foreign invasion force - how can soldiers allied with the established government of Afghanistan be seen as rebels? If bullets and toxic bombs can't make them cede, wishful thinking sure as hell won't.
