My peace and tranquility is being disturbed by low flying helicopters recently. I reside on Vancouver Island on a large wooded acerage. I had informed the RCMP last year when I discovered a few plants that were obviously being well nurtured. Both plots were discovered when I was putting in a trail. Honestly, I couldn't have cared less but concerned with being blamed for them. Perhaps the drought can be monitored by these helicopters and any fires spotted sooner. I don't appreciate the lack of privacy but it is only once in a while. The RCMP that met me had advised me they discovered a crop in the Port Hardy area with over 3000 plants. Not all Pot is grown indoors.

This is protect the equity of homeowners. Most of the grow-ops are rental properties and are being demolished from the inside. Remember Udjal Dosange's rental property in Cloverdale?

Most people have supported the municipalities for this legislation.

Our liberty is constantly being eroded through good intentions.

Professional grow ops that bypass the meters won't be so easily detected. However the small time operators will have problems, and so will people who use a lot of power legitimately.

You know, I have a brilliant idea that will solve the problem once and for all - instead of going through hoops bending over backwards, spending billions on law enforcement and incarceration, making millions of otherwise harmless honest hard working people criminals, why not instead get rid of the idiotic prohibition on marijuana?

"spending billions on law enforcement and incarceration"

Who do you think benefits from these billions??? This is why they won't legalize or even decriminalize the stuff. Better to remain Draconian as long as the Buddies are raking it in.

I can't help but think that those who make the laws against mind altering drugs are the same people who profit from selling these drugs. The only reason why the profits are so high, is due to the laws.
