Politically this fits well in the one-party state: it allows them to NOT have a budget plan, and to continue to govern not through the legislature but through the backrooms of closed cabinet meetings. This lack of fiscal transparency is matched by the lack of political transparency in the province. Read the whole article at: http://redbetweenthelines.modblog.com/core.mod?show=main

Paul Martin is offering to put up a 10 million dollar endowment in Honor of Clarkson the out going Governor General, but it your tax dollars. Here we have cirizens of this country who were posioned by the Federal Liberal Party with hericides at base Gagetown and all they get is the Liberal finger. This is one more example of party politics, filling the pockets of the elite. One more reason why more and more Canadians wake up with morning sickness and spend at least 1 hourin the bathroom. Smell revolt anyone ?

What's wrong with making conservative estimates on an income that has a history of fluctuating wildly? Why plan on spending money that may not be there? Is there any point at all to this article, other than baseless libel? If you're going to slam the Klein government, at least pick something they actually have done wrong.

If you use conservative estimates to deliberately mislead then it’s wrong. For example a favorite fraud of governments, including the current liberal government until Sheila Fraser stopped it through her audits, is to low ball public assets and “sell” it for next to nothing to the private sector. Gordon Campbell loves this type of “conservative estimate”. It’s called fraud and basically sets the stage for ripping off the public.

I havn't seen any evidence of that, either in the article, or anywhere in the link provided. Care to illustrate any examples of this by the Klein government? Because both the examples you gave were by Liberals.
