Reuters Commits Four Types Of Fraud

Posted on Wednesday, August 09 at 16:05 by Jeff
It's important to understand that there is not just a single fraudulent Reuters photograph, nor even only one kind of fraudulent photograph. There are in fact dozens of photographs whose authenticity has been questioned, and they fall into four distinct categories. The four types of photographic fraud perpetrated by Reuters photographers and editors are: 1. Digitally manipulating images after the photographs have been taken. 2. Photographing scenes staged by Hezbollah and presenting the images as if they were of authentic spontaneous news events. 3. Photographers themselves staging scenes or moving objects, and presenting photos of the set-ups as if they were naturally occurring. 4. Giving false or misleading captions to otherwise real photos that were taken at a different time or place. All of these forms of fraud have the same intent: to serve as propaganda for Hezbollah, and to make the Israeli attacks look as brutal as possible. And, taken together, they raise a very serious question: can any of the coverage by the entrenched media by trusted? Let's examine each type of fraud, with the photographic evidence itself: http://www.zombietime.com/reuters_photo_fraud/

Instead, the fraud (and articles as written above) serve the interests of Israel and those who support warfare.

If we are supplied with doubt about the true nature of war, then it is assumed that we'll question the photographs and news that show dead children as blasted apart by US made bombs, dropped by Israeli pilots who are flying US made aricraft.

These images stink to high heaven yes, but they were NOT staged by Hezbollah or its sympathizes. Hezbollah has more than enough images of real gore to last a life time.

Don't agree with me? Then ask yourself this question: Historically, does Reuters (and the MSM in general) back up Hezbollah or Israel?

Watch the video. See “Green Helmet” direct the show. Se them ghoulishly pull the child’s corpse from the vehicle in order to re-shot the scene. See Green Helmet tell them to keep rolling and shoo gawkers out of the way for the perfect image. Rethink your position.
Did you post a link to the wrong video or something? What I saw in the linked video did not look faked at all. Horrible crimes are being commited in Lebanon by Israeli forces, served up by US money and military backing.

    No idea.

Youtube is blocked by work so I thought it was the right video. Perhaps not. My point is not to minimize death, simply to highlight that there are indeed Hezbollah directors controling what you see. Anderson Cooper had some choice comments after being led around by Hezbollah, where they had a half dozen ambulences idling and at set times they'd hit the lights and siren and screech past the audience. There was no emergency. It was for effect.

But the video I'm hoping to post shows Green Helmet directing the shot. Actually removing the childs body from the ambulence and plopping it on the ground and then putting it back in in order for the "perfect shot" to be taken.
It's Hezbollah directing traffic.

How about you post something from a much less biased source?

Who is Aish HaTorah?

With respect to the dead child you have mentioned, was the child really dead, and was the childs death due to Israeli raids, or was the dead child not really dead at all, or killed due to other reasons not realted to Israeli attacks?

Is Israel really attacking Lebanon or not? If not so, then why is the Canadian government evacuating its citizens from Lebanon?

Are those bomb blasts that Israel itself has shown to us on TV ripping apart human flesh or not?

Are the editors of Reuters blind?

Do you think I'm an idiot?

I've been around the block more than enough times to notice bullshit when I see it. The fact is, there's a devastating attack on the infrastructure and inhabitants of Lebanon. The death toll and destruction needs no trickery to demonstrate, therefore whoever is behind these planted photos are linked with Israeli sympathizers.

Unfortuantely this interesting use of propaganda may be somewhat effective, so I have to thank you for pointing it out to me so that I can help expose it to Vives readership. I'll be posting elsewhere about this type of propaganda as well.

Here's some additional reading and viewing on the topic:

Doctoring Photographs or Censoring War Crimes?

lebanon pics (warning graphic images of war)

I'll have to adjust my views on this one a little.

Through additional research I've discovered that Reuters is generally known to be either unfavorable or neutral towards Israel depending on who you ask.

My first assumption was that Reuters was most likely pro-Israel, however that assumption appears to have been completely wrong. Reuters is definitely unlike FOX news (the worse of the pack) and others that show a bias in favor of Israel.

With the above in consideration, I still stand by my criticisms of Jeffs postings. It seems to me that these photographs will end up wrongly working in Israel's favor, and I have to assume whoever is behind it, is either a very misguided anti-Israeli sympathizer (as well as a very unskilled photoshop editor), or a photographer trying to sell more images by doctoring and/or staging them up to look better than his competition, or paid off by someone to look crooked and cast doubt on the true nature of the war. Take your pick, I have no idea either way.

One thing for certain, someone at Reuters should get fired for letting these images get published, and the other thing for certain, despite the faked/staged images, Lebanon is being blasted to bits by Israeli forces resulting in many innocent deaths, including the destruction of essential civilian infrastructure.

It may be of interest to read up on how Reuters has structured itself in an attempt to remain as unbiased as possible. Take a look:
Reuters History

Also see this about the photographer in question
Adnan Hajj photographs controversy

Reuters admits altering Beirut photo

This isn't a scandal, it's more Big Media shenanigans. According to this article in Nov 2005, Reuters was accused of spreading propaganda against Iran

http://www.voltairenet.org/article131510.html

The allegedly "doctored" photos serve two purposes

1) To give the public the false impression that Reuters is anti-Israel (remember, big media is currently getting slammed big time for being pro-Israel).

2) To give Reuters some free publicity (lately, it's all been about FOX and CNN). When it comes to war, gore and controversey sells bigtime for the media.

According to the Reuters site, 90% of Reuters revenue is generated from the financial services industry, a business which obviously is not controlled by Arabs. From this stat, it is obvious who Reuters supports in this conflict.

This one stinks to high hell. As a previous poster mentioned, it is probably a curve ball to confuse the masses. Many people, who do not dig beneath the surface of what is presented, will look at this and say, "See, not all big media is controlled by the Zionists."

Now, it would be nice if Reuters and other Big Brother Media outlets would provide real images & stories of what exactly is going on in Lebanon. We can do without the Smokescreen BS.

    More questions than answers.

Reutersgate strikes other news outlets

At the link above, a poster asks the queston of how the subtleties in some of the photographs were so quickly uncovered. He wonders if more is at play than just a bunch of regular blog readers doing some snooping.

I'd say this is going on, on BOTH sides, btw, and by several different news agencies. Some are just trying to get a good shot, some are actually working for others. Some are motivated by greed, some by loyalty, some by hatred.

Anyone who believes the carnage in Lebanon as a WHOLE was staged should be hired by Fox News or run for Tony Snow's job. They have no place in an intelligent discussion.
