Loonie nears $1.04 US

The Canadian dollar hit a new 31-year high Friday, closing in on the $1.04 US level, as inflation figures came in higher than expected.
The loonie changed hands as high as $1.0379 in Friday morning trading, up more than a cent from Thursday's close. The loonie, which has risen 20 per cent against the U.S. dollar this year, has not been in that trading range since June 1976.
Economists pointed to the higher-than-expected month-over-month increase in the core rate of inflation for much of Friday's strength in the loonie.

How about reducing the prices of cars made in Canada, but sold for 30% less in the US?
