He did say one thing that was pretty thoughtless, though: \"Our bilateral agreement with the U.S. is ticking along just fine, and disputes like the recent lumber and steel disputes get resolved the usual painful way.\" This is bunk. We had great access, with with 0-5% tariffs, of the U.S. market before the FTA and NAFTA. We did this with our multilateral agreements. I think Siddiqui is a great writer, bolder than most, but he\'s stupid to miss/ignore the economic control of Canada.

Oh well, I forgot to login for this one, too.

I think I\'ll login FIRST THING when I get here.

Just reading Paul Martin\'s thoughts on his party today, in the Toronto Star.

He actually believes the Liberals are centre, the NDP is hard left, and the new Conservatives are hard right.

I don\'t think he knows what centre is. It certainly isn\'t the Liberals !! Tax cuts, social program slashing, privatization; somebody should talk to that boy.

    Mel ? Paul ??

    Anybody ???
