Eliminate The Cancer?

“We support Israel's right to use reasonable force to protect its citizens against organizations whose stated goal is the destruction of that very state of Israel and the extermination of the Jewish people,” he said……………………………………… Speaking of terrorism, the rabbi said al-Qaeda is “but a pimple” compared to Hezbollah. “It is not simply the death of Jews and Israel that they want,” he said. “It is simply death.” “What Israel is involved in now . . . is a form of chemotherapy and you cannot stop until the cancer is eliminated,” Mr. Bregman said. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20060801.wharper0801/BNStory/Front [Proofreader's note: this article was edited for spelling and typos on August 3, 2006]

    The problem with war is that both sides see their unreasonable hatred as a fight between good and evil. Jews see it as anti-semitism. Arabs see it as terrorism and land theft. The sad thing is that they are both right.

    To those that say Jews are incapable of terrorism have forgotten history. At the time Israel stole the land in question, there were just as many Jewish terrorist groups as Islamic ones. The entire region is barbaric, insane and violent.

    Some days I wish for a nuclear war over there, just so the rest of the world can sleep better at night. But I know that won't solve anything, because then the USA would just find someone else to pick on.

    Abbotsford Conservative MP Ed Fast

    &#8220;While Israel is under attack from Hezbollah, we as Canadians must understand that terrorist attacks against Israel are attacks against all of those who cherish freedom and democracy,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Canada and Israel share so many values: freedom of religion, freedom of expression, equality for all of their citizens.&#8221;

    Mr. Fast said the Prime Minister's stance is anchored in principles and not pragmatism.

    &#8220;This is not about the latest polls or the opinions of the pundits. Instead, it's a principle born out of the belief that terrorism, any kind of terrorism, must be confronted whenever and wherever it is found.&#8221;

    Speaking of terrorism, the rabbi said al-Qaeda is &#8220;but a pimple&#8221; compared to Hezbollah.
    &#8220;It is not simply the death of Jews and Israel that they want,&#8221; he said. &#8220;It is simply death.&#8221;

    &#8220;What Israel is involved in now . . . is a form of chemotherapy and you cannot stop until the cancer is eliminated,&#8221; Mr. Bregman said.

    Un-freaking- believable!!
    From the study I&#8217;ve done over the past while it is Israel that has always been the terrorist state.

    I agree. When reading historical news headlines, from the time of around 1947, when Israel was first created, all the headlines followed this format "Jewish terrorsists attack Muslims". I kid you not.

    This is the story of Jewish terrorists stealing land, and then claiming self defence when their neighbors start behaving the same way towards them. Just start reading the history books people, and you will see what a farce this is.

    Ed Fast says Israel is like Canada in that they have "... equality for all of their citizens."???? Not the Arab ones. Sort of like the Cons giving equality to all men but not all women or gays. Oh and don't expect the Cons to speak out against Israel if you are murdererd by them while vacationing or working in the Middle East. I find the people in this government deplorable human beings.

    Don't we now see that the real "rogue state" is Israel and that the real "axis of evil" runs through Tel-Aviv and Washington?

    Perhaps the question we should be asking is not which side is right or wrong but how far do we let “free speech” in Canada go before we consider it “disseminating hate” and arrest and charge an individual. For a look at how far it has gone in Great Britain see the following pics <a href="http://msgboard.snopes.com/message/ultimatebb.php?/ubb/get_topic/f/60/t/001291/p/1.html">http://msgboard.snopes.com/message/ultimatebb.php?/ubb/get_topic/f/60/t/001291/p/1.html</a> of the Muslim rally in London in Feb regarding those “cartoons”. For some British reaction to that see <a href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4682262.stm">http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4682262.stm</a>.<br />
    <br />
    Please note that this was a small group of extremists and does not reflect the view of all of British Muslims any more that the Rabbi’s comments reflect all the Israelis point of view. The point is how far do we allow this type of PUBLIC speech or expression to go before saying enough is enough!<br />

    Notice how only the Mainstream Media gives two shits at what this Rabbi has to say. I think he would have more success in Israel with his shortsighted comparisons and analogies. Same goes for Harper & Co.

    I debated these meatheads in the last election, some of them didn't even know what NATO was, so for them to know that Israel practices apartheid policies would be asking too much.

    If there was ever a time for Canadians to become pushy - now is the time - for time is running out on this nation called Canada.
