Muslims Claiming Cash For Numerous Wives

Posted on Friday, February 08 at 14:16 by Wayne Coady
"Polygamy is a regular part of life for many Muslims," Ali said yesterday. "Ontario recognizes religious marriages for Muslims and others." He estimates "several hundred" GTA husbands in polygamous marriages are receiving benefits. Under Islamic law, a Muslim man is permitted to have up to four spouses. http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Canada/2008/02/08/4834833-sun.html

    Further in the article:

"The families receiving benefits didn't want their identities released because it can lead to questions by authorities on how they entered Canada and can mean an end to their benefits, Ali said"

So, the other wives are in the country illegaly AND collecting welfare? PARDON ME? Isn't this the same situation that is causing problems in Norway and Sweden?

If you can't support them, Ali, why do you have 3 extras? Doesn't 4X the nagging drive you nuts? I know my taxes going to support illegal freeloaders drives me nuts.

This is what we get when we keep supporting a political system that abuses the taxpayers. This is very upsetting and compound it with our taxes going to finance private business , is it any wonder our PUBLIC Infrastructure is in the sewer?

Just keep right on voting and you will continue down the same old road. It time to reform the whole damn system and what a better place to start , that telling all of the parties to go to hell.

It really easy ...I did it, you can too!!!

You are right, nothing will ever change with the crappy political system that we have, propped up and supported by the corporate mass media system that favors only their guys over everyone else. The system is designed to create waste and box you in like a prisoner with no hope of ever getting out, and it attracts thieving politicians like a powerful magnet no matter which way you think you chose to vote.

In the last election, the majority of the votes went to the NOTA party (none of the above).

As an example of just how busted the system really is, the current dictatorship "won" the election despite 77% of the illegible vote going elsewhere, and that issue is only the tip of the iceberg.

At the same time the BC government and the RCMP are wrecking their little brains, trying to figure out how to prosecute some small Mormon community where men have far more than 4 wives, but don't receive any welfare that I know of.

Perhaps if they'd reduce the number to 4 they'd be accepted?

Thanks for bringing that notable contradiction up.

We're not free, and we don't live in a democracy. I wonder if George Orwell thought his 1984 novel would become a reality?

With the myriad of issues facing Canadians this one is the (new) proverbial red herring in the teapot and give me a great idea. Convert
Get together with four battered women, and their children, create a safe haven for all concerned apply for a grant to counsel the women and teach the children and stick the state

    The majority of “taxpayer money’
What ever the f this goes to service the debt that continues to grow because...

Hey, come on guys, this is Canada, land 'o' plenty.

Obviously if in fact this is true it isn't particularly desirable. However, it reminds me of stories from the Ontario Harris years when welfare recipients scamming the system out of $800 a month or so were the big 'menace'.

This kind of thing is chump change compared to what the more affluent sectors of Canadian society get away with all the time.

Oddly enough, none of Canada's mainstream media ever delve to far into that...it's always the welfare 'cheats' that are a threat to our society, and now they're damned Muslims as well!!! Good lord!!!

Trust me, this type of thing is the least of our worries.

When the original immigrants came to Canada at the turn of the century and in
the '50's, all they received was a swift kick in the ass. They responded by
building a powerful country and raising responsible children. If you bend over
backwards, you bend over forwards. Time to take the country back!

Take the country back ....from who? Define your target please.

I see no other to blame, other than the political parties who have with out question, have high-jacked "government." EdDeeks is right too... these political parties are managed by the Corporate pigs, who in turn control those clowns that get elected.

If you want to send a message that carries some weight... tell those party candidates to stay off your property and do not vote.

It is time for the taxpayers right across this country to join together and start to question the use of the taxation system. I do not mind paying taxes to maintain and improve the PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE....but I do not want to pay taxes , so the political party in power can use those taxes to finance "their" business friends, in the private sector!!!

Tell the bums to go to the bank... just like the rest of we poor slops have to. If you want to starve a snake, cut its head off ..and in this case the head of that SNAKE ..is the political parties.

With all due respect, Wayne , take a look at the total picture the people getting screwed are the same ones who do not go to the polls, who do not take part in the process all parties have members it is they you need to address as well as the slack asses that don’t participate

Parties are very much like corporations and look at what that lot has wrought.

Responsibility lies directly with you, and every you who takes up residence
I will define the target for you, as I have in the past and you, as you have done in the past will refuse to se it.
fault lies with all the you’s and with those who profit.

I have stayed as much as any here on top of the current make up of what now exists and see no way , no rallying call to which any can, or form association with
and that is the hopelessness of it all

    Is you organisation building?
what is its current number of members?
cam you now , after all this time announce
some dramatic shift in consciousness that swells your ranks?

Society is fragmented and I see only more schism in the future
