I've created an email form letter you can send to the pm and the Justice Minister protesting the potential extradition of Marc Emery and his associates, a clear breach of Canadian sovereignty. You can edit it to add your own thoughts.
I think it is wrong to suggest that Canada's hands are legally tied because of some treaty that was entered into with the USA. The USA has broken the Nuremburg judgement and the Geneva conventions. As responsible, honorable citizens of the world we are required to shun the USA. We (and I mean you and me and our respective counties) are required to have nothing to do with the USA. So lets dispense with the "our hands are legally tied" bullshit. The USA is a rogue nation and should be treated as such by everyone on the planet including all honorable US citizens.
The more I read the angrier I get, apparently this man, had a registered business, paid income tax on this revenue, and according to one source, Health Canada, referred people to his store for seeds, for medicinal purposes. This is more than a fact that Canada, not only turned a blind eye, but actually benefited from this business, aka taxes. Talk about duplicity!
I am not a lawyer, but isn't there a law about benefitting from proceeds of illegal activities? To have cooperated in and assisted the U.S. agents to investigate someone in Canada, on an issue which has been accepted as situation normal in Canada, is just crazy!

Largely quoting the BC Civil Liberties Association there. I wanted to make the point that the treaties and agreements we enter into with the US damage our sovereignty, and that's a major problem. We shouldn't be signing those treaties and agreements (eg NAFTA, Smart Border, Smart Regulation, etc) in the first place, but when it becomes clear that they are causing breaches in our sovereignty then we need to examine which treaties we signed and either revise or get out of them.
You can of course edit the letter though.
