Tax Revolts Expose U.S. War Agenda

Posted on Monday, May 09 at 12:34 by Kevin Parkinson
It is plainly insane to rob the taxpayers of this money, when millions are jobless and are denied social benefits, health care coverage and a decent standard of living. Morally, the funding of the military to this extent is reprehensible since it will ultimately result in the death of untold thousands more. Tens of thousands of people are withholding the portion of their federal taxes and taking their chances with the IRS. To date, there have been few, if any citizens sent to jail for resisting the federal war tax. According to Principle IV of the Nuremberg Principles, citizens are not excused from the responsibility of resisting illegal wars of their own governments. In other words, if George Bush and his government were tried in a war crimes tribunal, as they should be for the genocide they have caused, then it would not be enough to say that you were “following orders” of your commander by killing innocent Iraqis. This principle, of course, developed out of WW11 when Nazi soldiers claimed that they had no choice but to kill innocent people. This argument cannot be used as a defense in international law. Using the same logic, war resisters are refusing to pay taxes to support these wars.

The same thing goes for Canada and it's dealings with natives, and canadian forces were involved in Iraq, and Afghanistan, Haiti and Kosovo were all illegal wars as well.
