Paul Martin says that won't happen under his leadership, but voters from Manitoba to the West Coast can be excused for their wait-and-see attitude.

Pierre Trudeau raised a one-fingered salute to protesters in Salmon Arm during a whistle stop in the B.C. Interior and threw grain back at Saskatchewan farmers while snarling "Why should I sell your wheat?"

I agree with you that Ontario and Quebec virtually run the country, but I am an Ontarian and I\'m not happy with this situation.

I have seen western alienation for years, and have a certain affection for the west, having spent several great weeks in Alberta many years ago.

Perhaps Proportional Representation is one way to get the politicians to listen to the voters, but population does make a difference.

I can only hope Paul Martin gives the West more voice before he sells us out to the Americans.
