The flyers, which show a young child sitting in front of an empty bowl, are being included in food hampers so clients can question why the richest province in the country still has people struggling to get by, executive director Marjorie Bencz said. "There are over 54,000 people each month in Alberta using food banks, and there are issues related to income security and minimum wage that have direct impact for people living in poverty in Alberta," she said. The number of people using food banks increased by 12 per cent last year. http://www.mytelus.com/news/article.do?pageID=news_home&articleID=1754890

Watch out. Klein will wobble into a food bank half-tanked and throw cans of tuna at everybody, telling them to get a job.

I agree. When is Alberta going to have someone other than a man with a silver spoon in his mouth looking out for our oil interests? Soon I hope! (fingers and toes crossed)

Yes, why do Albertans keep voting for Conservative Social Credit candidates? Alberta had no provincial debt until the government stopped paying the bills and started saving for a rainy day. Then they killed the unions and privatised everything, saying" we are not in the business of being in business". And still the people of Alberta vote for the party that has made their lives miserable and squandered their childrens futures as well.
Could it have something to do with the newspapers and TV and Radio stations being owned by huge Corporations who then impose a play list for publication as the news?
Finally, through no fault of his own, Klein inherits oil revenue increases and actually has enough money to finish paying off the debt that his party worked so hard to accumulate. And the people credit him with paying off the debt( the media said so, so it must be true).
Then Klein and Martin signed the labor deal, sshhh it is a secret, they will allow corporations to bring in labour( all the trades from laborers to electricians) if the corporations can demonstrate a shortage to a secret committee that reports to no one we know of. Great, what a great man. What a great province! What a great country! What a great demockery!
