Will Martin Speak Out For Chavez And Democracy?

Posted on Tuesday, March 16 at 00:12 by 4Canada
Sitting in the audience, I was struck by the emotional connection between the crowd and Hugo Chavez — democratically elected president, revolutionary style leader, champion of Venezuela's poor, scourge of Venezuela's rich, and, some say, next on Washington's hit list.

I really can't see Martin standing up, I do wish he would, this could be a shining moment for Canada. Chavez represents the people rather than the corporations perhaps Martin could learn something from this man? The sooner Canada creates trade deals and friendships with other countries the better we will be.

The Venezuelan Supreme court decided that the signatures which were not in the agreed upon beforehand form were to be accepted as valid. Can you say kangaroo court, I knew that you could.

I have sent many emails to Martin and Graham concerning the US backed conspiracy to overthrow the democratically elected government of Venezuela again and requesting that they take some sort of action to oppose this travesty of justice. I will continue to send emails but I imagine Canadian troops will again be sent in after the death squads go to work just like in Haiti.

I'm right there with you Milton,

I too have been sending emails to Martin and Graham about Haiti and Venezuela. Maybe we need a "vive le action letter" to them.
