The Frasier institute quite nicely ignores the issue of extended patents and drug costs....The generic makers are just as money-hungry I guess, so Robin Matthews article on exaggerated manufacturing costs becomes all the more relevant. The generic makers don't have to do much research at all, so shame on Apotex. Shame on Altimed. :)

TORONTO -- Federal government policies have led to inflated prices for many commonly prescribed drugs, costing consumers hundreds of millions of dollars, a study by the right-wing Fraser Institute concludes.
The study, released Monday, argues the policies have allowed a mere handful of established generic drug companies to gain "monopoly-style control" over a large and growing portion of the market.....
