SK Oilsands Estimate Tops 1B Barrels

As a point of comparison, the Alberta oilsands construction project nearest to the Oilsands Quest project is Encana's Borealis project. Encana states in its public disclosures the first stage of Borealis involves a reserve with an estimated 300 million barrels of recoverable bitumen. Hopkins says further exploration work, plus some field testing of extraction methods, will help determine how much of the 1.117 billion barrels at Axe Lake is recoverable. Hopkins says Oilsands Quest is planning to do work to show the Axe Lake bitumen can be brought to the surface through an "in situ" method where low pressure steam and solvents are injected from the surface into the formation with the bitumen made to flow to the surface through a recovery well. http://www.canada.com/saskatoonstarphoenix/news/business/story.html?id=f833e5d1-48ce-4976-b64e-72e363a3d0d8
