The Illogical 'Logic' Of Stockwell Day

Posted on Tuesday, November 20 at 13:51 by siljan
The idiocy of Day's statement is mind boggling but it shows an insight into right-wing logic. In 'Stockwell Day's World' the RCMP killed somebody but so do drunk drivers--so why aren't we raging at drunk drivers? The common element to Day is that if you are going to be angry when someone is killed, then be consistent and treat both types of killers the same (RCMP who kill and drunk drivers who kill)! Here is the part that Stockwell Day doesn't get ... we give the police INCREDIBLE powers and tools to keep the peace. Guns, handcuffs, batons, spray, and tazers. They have the power to detain and question people. The tradeoff is ..... they can't KILL people who are being detained. http://buckdogpolitics.blogspot.com/2007/11/illogical-logic-of-stockwell-day.html [Proofreader’s note: this article was edited for spelling and typos on November 21, 2007]

Has Mr. Day never heard of "Mother's Against Drunk Driver's"!?

Apparently not, despite his position which is yet another sign of his obvious incompetence... but I expect he will be hearing from at least a few of the many, many members of this organization in Canada after his seriously stupid comments!

It is in fact the Canadian public that fought for stiffer sentences for drunk drivers and for them to be treated as the serious criminals and threats to society that they are, as we are demanding the 4 RCMP officers that brutally killed an innocent man, when they are supposed to uphold the law and that they were supposed to serve and protect, that was desperately seeking and needing help, their help, to be held accountable and appropriately treated like the serious criminals and threats to society and cold blooded murderers that they clearly are.

It is not OUR perception that is the problem Mr. Day, but rather obviously YOURS.

We used to tell our children, as I was told as a child, that if you are in trouble go to a police officer for help...clearly we can't tell our children this any longer because we no longer trust the police to help us or our children or anyone and can only fear them after what we have seen and when we know there is no one holding them accountable for serious misconduct, not even the brutal cold blooded murder of an innocent man that was caught on tape.

As is clear by this link, Mr. Day doesn't have a clue about what the Canadian public think and believe, he's too busy trying to bull$#!^ us to listen to us.

Is this the type of "democracy" this small minded idiot and the rest of the
Government is trying to export to Afghanistan? Day's comments are an insult to
any intelligent Canadian. This once proud country has been reduced to having
high ranking political officials making insensitive comments for the sole purpose
of distracting and covering up the real issues.

This is the type of comment one would expect from a hot air clown like Bill
O'Reilly. Maybe an IQ test should be a requirement for certain Government
positions. That way, retards may need not apply.

You have to start over somewhere...this seems like a good place to start.

The stupid, narcissistic and corrupt need not apply.
