It's way to early to project, and Martin and Harper are shooting themselves in the foot everytime they try to attach each other, so I'll wait for the official results on the eve of June 28, and then hopefully they will be accurate and no one has taken a dive!

The NDP got 21 seats with just 11% of the vote in 1997. In 1988 they had
20% and they got 43 seats. They've been polling in the 17-20% range lately so
they're sure to get at least 30 seats. But there's still lots of time in this
campaign for them to grab even more support and seats.

Don`t get discouraged, folks. Anything can happen. There may be more Canadians than we know who are sick of the right wing corporate fascist agenda.

If you look at the recent election in India, the incumbent BJP was routed and the left had its best election ever. The media predictably forecast a huge majority for the right-wing/neo-liberal incumbents and had no idea what was coming. That's just one recent example of the corporate media skewing reality and trying to discourage protest votes and any substantial gains by the left. It's not much different on this side of the pond.
