Death And Resurrection Of The US Dollar

Posted on Wednesday, October 18 at 16:01 by Diogenes
Argentina experienced banking system collapses, inflation, hyperinflation, public debt defaults, stock market crashes and just about anything else you may care to imagine in terms of financial and monetary crises. Chronic inflation was so bad that since 1970 the Argentine currency the Peso was revamped four times and had a total of 13 zeroes knocked off in order to cope with inflation, the result being that One Peso which today will just barely buy you a bus ride in Buenos Aires City, is equivalent to 10.000.000.000.000 pesos from 1970, which at that time would have allowed you to purchase the entire country and left some change in your pocket. In this country, we therefore have a lot of practical first-hand experience on these matters and we believe that we have much added value to contribute if we apply our practical knowledge and experience to what seems to be a cross-roads situation afflicting the global financial and monetary systems. Todays financial turmoil rings a lot of familiar bells to us and the sickly US Dollar is certainly looking a whole lot like the old Argentine Pesos and Australes of yore. Perhaps too, some lessons can still be learned and the damage from these enormous risks can be somewhat mitigated. http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=viewArticle&code=SAL20061015&articleId=3490

Just thought of the Amero smokescreen. Wonder if this argentinian economist has mused over it.

Am a bit suprised that this story did not generate more interest amongst Vive sovereignists. Looks to me like there is a blind spot on matters related to the US$.

"Am a bit suprised that this story did not generate more interest amongst Vive sovereignists. Looks to me like there is a blind spot on matters related to the US$.”

My thoughts exactly gaulois the ramification of that which is outlined in the article will be catastrophic on a world wide scale, Is it that the readership is out of its depth/
I can hardly think so as I read some of the posts here, or is it that a sensation of being over-whelmed takes hold and numbness sets in?
The way I see the consequences of a death and rebirth of the American dollar is all the people who have bought into the lies laid down will of course be yet again the willing victims.

    >>or is it that a sensation of being over-whelmed takes hold and numbness sets in?

I read the entire article last night and by the end of it, was too tired and yes a bit overwhelmed, to sort through many entangled thoughts to be able to put together a reply. I also wanted to go back and check a few details that caught my attention. I haven't done so yet, so I am not yet sure but I might have caught some errors/contradictions in the article.

Also the age of the article is a little dated. Maybe that could explain the lack of commentary from some vivers?

Right but the age of the article is relevant when you consider the timeline of his predictions. Not that it means it isn't true or won't come to pass but it may have a negative effect on the article to some. It puts it in a light where it can be compared to or even perceived as the boy crying wolf.
Given the angle from which many regular vivers are coming from, I wouldn't say that those particular vivers would differ from you in their opinion of the article in relation to its age but some of the more moderate or new-to-the-concept vivers might be a little skeptical.

Another after-thought. Here we are 4 days after the submission of an excellent article and finally talking about - not really the article or it's validity but more so, the perception of the article.

My wife's reaction was that I am nuts and should not waste my time over this. She also thinks (along with a number of friends) that I am going nuts over this 911 conspiracy thing. I prefer to call it "we really don't know what really happened" or what kind of sh%t the US government was stirring up for things to go so haywire. I don't quite buy into this Pearl Harbour lunacy act to justify a shock&awe response. But I have so little confidence in the Cheney&Rumsfeld crowd that who knows what were they actually f&cking up. The enormousness of the consequences is hard to bear. It's quite scary when one reaches the point that one would be better off being in denial or well medicated against anxiety. Brave New world they called it.

Note that this story was never front paged or available through the RSS feeds by the Vive board.

I trust Dr. Caleb or whoever fielded the story did not have the time to read it through (it was long) when making the final editorial decision. I think they would have front paged/RSS exported it as an important Canadian Sovereignty story, as much as the recent Amero/SPP news coverage. Is it too late now?

No, I usually have 20 minutes in the morning to get the stories in the queue released. I rely heavily on the excerpts people post. (links only stories or stories with no links take much longer, so they get done in the afternoon).

The RSS feeds changed filename, BTW, so that may be why you didn't see it on them. (a story about that under 'site news')

I don't usually have time to read really long articles, and defer that to the weekend or evenings. Assuming I'm not assebmling my droid army.

I can however fudge this stories properties to show a more recent date of escape (*waves magic wand*).

I hear you so very clearly, I feel the same and so does my wife. On 9/11 it's easy to want to deny that it just couldn't be because it is such a fantastic story but I keep things in perspective by asking why they won't answer the hard questions and where is the evidence to support the "official" conspiracy theory. And on this story, I just keep paying attention to world financial news, political stories, keep working at getting the hell out of debt and to grow a little stockpile of necessities.
