Can I even make a difference
Is there a point to my existence
Can I share my bounty with those
Who are lacking enough for their subsistence
Christmas peace and Christmas joy
The words are everywhere
What if I am not a believer
Is the message still the same
If peace is in the air; Why doesn’t it feel that way
If the message is for me; Can I really turn away
If I wasn’t called a consumer, but instead a human being
Would that have an impact on my interior fortress?
When a pebble breaks the water's crust
A ripple it does make
So if I believe in anything, a pebble
I can be
If it isn’t called ‘Christmas’ peace or joy
Is it still peace and joy
If a child is no longer hungry, Disease loses its grip
War is no longer a threat; people look out and see people
Would it matter if the message was sent 2000 years ago?
What would it mean if the message was globally absorbed ?
If I say hello with a smile, instead of hiding in my hurry
If I ease the pain of another’s desperation by my actions;
I will change the sequence of world events
If I reach out to my neighbour; when I am tired; I’ll be refreshed
If each one of us gets the message, regardless of knowing the messenger
We can change the world, one person at a time
