There's an excellent new article by Linda McQuaig, which not only explains why Canada should be happy NOT to take blood money for Iraqi reconstruction, but takes on deep integration with the U.S. as well. See: Takeover by new PM could set stage for vigorous lobbying movement to push for closer ties with the United States

Acccording to the information I have been exposed to for the last several months, closer intergration with the U.S. is NOT a great idea. They are Pro-American, and that means that you agree with them or you don\'t.

If you don\'t, you lose !!

You are not their friends, and you will not benefit monetarily, and you will be absorbed into their influence.

    Militarily and economically.

Any Canadian that wants to be American, please cross the border and get lost !! That includes the Aspers, specifically David Asper. The swine who would be American.

Rich kid loudmouth, and most rich kids are loudmouths, because they have money and power.

Take your power and put it in a dark place. You could start with your mouth.

Have I ever told you that I hate the idle rich ??

I am Canadian, born and bred, and I want to stay thay way.

Right on, Jim! Those who want to cozy up to the US by selling out Canada to the US, should just pack up and move there, because the vast majority of Canadians like who we are, and want to keep Canada! It is high time that we Canadians ourselves make alot of noise and lobby hard and frequently different levels of government, reminding them that they work for CANADIAN citizens! I think we should also send messages to sellouts like the Fraser Institute and tell them that they`re wasting their time, because most Canadians aren`t that stupid!

    Cicero\'s Assessment of the Traitor.

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly against the city. But the traitor moves among those within the gates freely. His sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.

For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in the accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their garments, and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation; he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city; he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared.

You can apply the above to anyone that is on the side of Americanization. Martin and Mulroney are only two of many.
