>>>"Racist" Tom Flanagan to lead CPC election effort<<<

Congratulations, you were able to play the race card and the anti American card all within the space of a few sentences. At least you are an efficient demagogue.

I'm not sure what you're objecting to; there seems to be at least some evidence to support calling him that.

Canadians are asking, why do americans hate us? They hate our freedoms: our freedom of religion, our freedom of speech, our freedom to disagree with each other.

"Playing the race card" implies some sort of illegitimacy. I offer to anonymous that you take time to read what Flanagan has written. Regardless of your politics, you will be shocked by the nakedly racial value judgements he freely passes. He has conducted a veritable vendetta against the Aboriginal peoples over the course of his 'academic' career, one that is very difficult to account for on any legal-rational basis. "Uncivilized" is his word, not ours.
Further, I suggest to all Canadians that we take a good hard look at this guy before casting a vote for the Harper conservatives. Unencumbered by the necessity of convincing Canadians to elect him, he espouses the uncensored brutal straight-outta-texas social conservatism that quietly underlies this party.

Isn't Flanagan also the asshole who thought that Louis Riel was guilty of "treason" and deserved to be hanged?

Yeah, Native People were "savages"; no classes, no bosses, work to satisfy needs, no child abuse, no hang ups about the body or its functions and a benevolent Great Spirit.

The Eurotrash invaders "civilization" - society divided into higher and lower classes, the latter treated like cattle, work for accumulation of wealth, terror as the means of pedagogy and child-rearing, hatred of sexuality and the body, and heads stuffed full of vicious anti-life Bible-literalist superstition or sicko beliefs like "race science" and eugenics.

Walrus unfortunately refers to Flannelmouth and his bum chums as "libertarians". They are, in fact, about as authoritarian as you can get. They are libertarians in the same way Hitler was a socialist.
"The Eurotrash invaders "civilization""

Did it ever occur to you that 84% of Canada might find that statement a bit offensive or degrading? Or are you simply trying to compare all people of European origin to nuts like Tom Flanagan?

It was an attempt at humor, as in the old cartoon of two Indians looking out to sea and seeing the Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria on the horizon and commenting "There goes the neighborhood!" Of course the average European worker or peasant immigrant was a decent sort, but the European ruling classes who actually stole the continent were little better more than bandits and pirates with fancy titles - Eurotrash in my opinion. And of course, they got their training for robbing the Indians by robbing their "own" peasants.

You have some kind of secret fantasy to be an Indian killer?

You love that conquering white race stuff, don't you.

Hey guys, "political correctness" has declared that race does not exist, just as it did when it declared that the world was flat before the sixteenth century.

When politics defines truth, we have already gone beyond the slipery slope.

Ideology is the opiate of the people.

People are often 'racist' as a means of moral defence. It's perfectly natural. I don't know Flanagan, haven't read his book. Calling someone a racist today is a complement, as far as I'm concerned. To NOT be 'racist' is a slow ride to extinction.

What I do know about the native situation in Alberta, is that natives are living better now than at any time before. There was a moratorium on oil and gas exploration on native land, but that's been lifted. And there is now money availalbe to exploit the resources. Leading the charge are banks connected to Washington politics via big oil, and the Rothschild's in London.

My guess is that CPC are planning to play heavy in dealing with the Natives, offering them a bigger slice of the pie, But the native leaders have to play along. They've already been granted 25+ years to get their sh_t together.

I have found to my regret that as I began to collect my thoughts on the matter, "vivellecanade.ca" imposed a time limit on my throughts. Suddenly my thoughts were robbed from me.

Are you of the left or the right? No formed thought allowed.

    What are you referring to?
