One Big Party: To Keep Canada Independent.
With the deep division in the Progressive Conservative Party, the whole subject of political re-alignment is most topical. The Big New Party is the answer for progressive and patriots from all parties. Rather than 'unite
the right,' the war-cry of many Canadian politicians, Hellyer seeks to 'unite the rest' to oppose the insidious creep of market fundamentalist values.
The Hon. Paul T. Hellyer was Minister of National Defence, former Deputy Prime Minister and is one of the most knowledgeable politicians in Canada
today. He is the Leader of the Canadian Action Party since 1997.
"There is too much talk about 'uniting the right' and not enough about 'uniting the rest,'" said Paul Hellyer, CAP's Leader. "After reading an
account of Paul Martin's speech to the Metropolitan Montreal Board of Trade it is clear that his party should be renamed the conservative Liberals.
"Three conservative parties in Canada are too many," Hellyer added, "especially when about 70 percent of the total electorate are 'left of
right' in their basic philosophy. What is needed is a broadly-based, progressive pro-Canada party which will put the interests of the majority
ahead of those of the transnational corporate elite."
CAP ADOPTS PROPOSAL TO MERGE WITH NDP TO FORM
BIG, NEW, PROGRESSIVE, PRO-CANADA PARTY
Delegates to the Canadian Action Party Biennial Convention held in Toronto in September 2003 unanimously endorsed a resolution to merge with the NDP to form the nucleus of a big, new, progressive pro-Canada party. The new party would be designed to attract progressives and patriots from the Progressive Conservative, Liberal, Alliance, Green, Bloc and other parties.
Keynote speaker Walter Pitman, former president of Ryerson Polytechnic University and former deputy-leader of the NDP, congratulated CAP members on passing the resolution. "It is not only Canada which is at a crossroads, it is the planet earth," he said, "and an independent Canada will have the opportunity to really influence world events."
"CAP is the catalyst," exclaimed Herb Wiseman, an NDP observer who is an enthusiastic supporter of the new party idea. "This is the beginning."

By extension we need a Majority People\'s party to represent the dreams and asperations for world peace and an end to war and corporate fascism. These Majority parties might align into a world federation at some point in the not too distant future.
It\'s time for the NDP to relinquish its egoic attachments and merge with the one majority for the greater good.

Hint Alert... sure would be nice to run into the odd Flick or Robin...
I remember the recent Vive poll showed a large amount of viewers to be from BC. If it is the Vancouver area come on down and show your support.

If there was ever a time for Canadians to become pushy - now is the time - for time is running out on this nation called Canada.
We need the people of all parties that want to keep Canada alive and well.
If some PC\'s, Bloc, Liberals, etc. join our cause, then it WILL happen. We just have to get the word out, any way we can.
Use your Internet contacts. Talk to all your friends. Tell them it\'s the most important thing they have ever done.
Remember, not that many people are interested in politics, and many don\'t even vote. If we don\'t change that laid-back attitude, we are done as a country.
We have to be more persuasive than we have ever been. Do NOT take this lightly. We are in the fight of our very country, without a shot being fired.
