US Soldier Kills Wounded Iraqi On Camera.

Nah, Iraqi insurgents are nice people. They never occupy mosques to shoot out of minarets, don't behead care workers, soldiers and other prisoners, booby trap the dead and wounded or basically deny any sort of peace to a beleaguered nation. As you see from almost every other posting at Vive, the US is the source of all evil and anyone that opposes them is a saint.

The US will try this soldier and he will be convicted, and probably given a dishonarable discharge. Nothing very severe, which will cause a rash of additional posts on this site (joy!). But any insurgent that kills an unarmed prisoner (wounded or otherwise) is either ignored or celebrated as a valiant resistance fighter by the wonderful lefties here.

It is quite entertaining to listen to their rants however.

Okay, so let's say you are living in Tulsa Oklahoma. You have just been told that your country will be attacked because some world leader says American possesses weapons of mass destruction, which is does, but for this argument let's say it does not.

Now, this other country attacks the US and then occupies it and won't leave. Now here you are in Tulsa and you are getting tired of the occupiers in your country. So what are you going to do? I am sure you would want to fight and drive the occupiers out no? And what would you call yourself? A terrorist? An insurgent? Freedom fighter would be my guess.

My point being, these insurgent have been branded terrorists just for fighting back. It's a joke. Americans would never stand to have another country occupy it so why should Iraqi's? The Iraqi people had nothing to do with Saddam, Saddam is now in prison, so it's time for the Iraqi's to be free. This isn't left wing ranting, it's called civilised discourse, something the right wing nut jobs of Canada and the US seem unable to do.

As for war crimes, for every crime caught on tape how many are not?

Who said anything about getting up and leaving? I didn't. The US has messed things up in Iraq so badly unfortunately there are no easy answers. The simplest would be that they never should have gone in there in the first place because this is a war based on lies.

Other countries do need to look at sending peace keeping troops in because the US left to their own devices will just keep destroying the place.

In fact a lot of people did speak out against Saddam's cruelty but what about the thousands dead in Latin America thanks to the US, what about the now 100 000 dead in Iraq, what about the 2 000 dead in Panama in 1989? William Blum estimates the US is responsible in some way or another for over 1 million deaths in the world. That sure must be something to be proud of hey Anon. The US administration put Saddam in power , fed him all the weapons he could buy, including chemical and biological weapons. Sucked him into invading Kuwait and then smashed the crap out of his armed forces. Then allowed him to use his air force to bomb the Kurds, whom the US had encouraged to rise up against him. Then blockaded Iraq causing the death of hundreds of thousands of civilians. Then invaded Iraq and using shock and awe managed to terrify and murder thousands more civilians. Broke all codes of warfare and human decency. Yea, a real display of manhood. Congratulations. Is it customary to exterminate people you are liberating?
