Israel has been preparing for war with a massive buildup of military
hardware delivered by the United States. The Israel Air Force would likely
attack Iran's nuclear facility using the latest technology called, "bunker
buster bombs." According to the Pentagon, these tactical nuclear weapons are
"safe for civilians", and to underscore the madness, their use has been
authorized by the Senate!
Keep in mind that 70% of the world's oil reserves comes from the Middle East
/Central Asian region. Iran possesses 10% of the world's oil, and ranks
third after Saudi Arabia (25%) and Iraq (11%). In comparison, the U.S.
possesses only 2.8% but uses more energy than several countries combined.
As always, the real agenda is about oil, and those countries that have oil
are expected to support the United States or face the consequences.
According to former weapons inspector Scott Ritter, George W. Bush has
already signed off on a aerial attack on Iran, as early as June.
In March 2005, joint NATO-Israel military exercises were carried out, under
the premise that Israel is a country facing potential enemies such as Syria
and Iran that may attack. This has been a clever ploy to bring NATO and
Turkey onside, so that they necessarily become part of the plan to do an
aerial bombing of Iran.
If you watch the movement of leaders of the aggressor countries, you can see
the preparations being made. Donald Rumsfeld visited Afghanistan, Pakistan,
Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan this winter, and was described by media as
"circling Iran to find the best locations for a military strike against that
country."
Israel Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and his military advisors visited Bush's
ranch in April 2005 to plan for the upcoming war against Iran.
President Vladimir Putin of Russia made a rare visit to Israel. Since Russia
supports Iran's nuclear industry, you have to question why he was there.
Will he continue to support Iran by supplying weapons, or will he turn over
his support to Israel?
Israel and the United States have armed themselves to the hilt with weapons
of mass destruction, and are preparing for a preemptive attack against Iran,
whose only crime is that it has also acquired nuclear weapons, albeit many
fewer than the U.S. and Israel.
War criminals Bush and Sharon are planning a takeover of the Middle East,
and we have to oppose this war mongering madness.
Haven't we learned any lessons from the war in Iraq, which has become
another Hiroshima in certain parts of the country? Iraqi women are now
exhibiting 'pregnancy cancer,' a result of the toxicity and radiation in the
air. Malnutrition rates have doubled in children less than 5 years of age
since the 2003 invasion. Tens of thousands of children have been left to
starve, and a conservative estimate claims 100,000 Iraqis have been killed.
Our population has been dumbed down through media disinformation. War is
being given a humanitarian mandate but this is NOT what is going on. The
military have become robots and are following their orders blindly. People
are tortured and killed daily.
It doesn't have to be this way. Military bases can be closed down and
leaders of countries need to negotiate lasting peace agreements. It can be
done if there is a will to do it.
As we read the stories in the media about the terrible losses suffered by
Canadian families during WW2, we can see that the pain of survivors is still
there. So just imagine the state of the family unit in Iraq. How long will
these agonies last?
There is no other alternative. War and violence always escalate, as we have
seen during the Bush years. The governments must negotiate to stop a
full-scale war in the Middle East before it is too late.
