    A local climatologist even went on tape as saying it was almost certainly related to global warming.

    Funny thing was, though, when I went searching on the story, I found that BC was hit by a monster storm around the same time in 1993 (and accidentally sent it in as the original story, hence the confusion above. Everybody spotted the wrong month, but nobody spotted the wrong year, 1993)

    So the bad weather has been ramping up here for a while now. I'm looking forward to tornadoes, myself. We never get any tornadoes! It would be cool to see one turn into a waterspout out in the ocean, or suck up a lake.
