Neither of those articles says that Space will be weaponized.

In fact, the fas.org article is saying that Space won't be weaponized because there's no point in keeping weaponry up there.

You're just trying to scare up opposition to missile defence, that's obvious and disingenuous.

Canadians need to take more responsibility for our own defence, and of course we have a responsibility to our allies. It's about time we signed on with the Australians, British, Japanese and Americans.

I agree we must build up our military to defend ourselves, but there`s no need to jump on the bandwagon, and go join bogus wars of imperialism! We must also distance ourselves from American influence and return to a foreign policy dedicated to peace and foreign aid designed to reduce terrorism by reducing poverty and hopelessness. Canada must join on with all countries, for the whole world can be our allies!

FAS is obviously trying to defuse existing weaponisation policy; they don't know who they're dealing with. Yes I also agree we should be spending more on and building our military but the only threat we need to defend ourselves from is america.
