    One may assume that the rate our boys are being injured & killed must be going up.

    Obviously Hillier feels volunteers will want to leave their trade and become a "pongo". I recall what "volunteer" in the forces was. You, you & you have just volunteered. It must be a comforting thought to be on standby and know you are to be ready to replace the next dead or injured and someone is on standyby for you..
