What is it exactly you're looking for me to say? I'm not a laissez-faire absolutist like Friedman was, so why bring me into this? Or are you just getting lonely?

    The latter of the two.
zand there is enough of 'you' in the the article to prompt the call.

Thank you for the quick response, all the same.

Well, I'll put it this way. I'm probably closer to Friedman in my thinking than I am to Keynes or Galbraith. I still believe in a mixed economy though. I just prefer a different "mix" from that the majority of Vive participants seem to like.

    Indie....

Have you ever considered the possibility, or morality, that what we "like" may be very harmful, and even criminal, to humanity and the ecology?

I was very happy growing up and living in a fascist dictatorship and "had it made", until the whole thing collapsed around our necks and I had to start thinking what life and human rights were all about? It was a painful process, but once I began realizing how fraudulent the system and my early education was, how we were being led by the nose by a criminal ruling class, there was no return.

In any case, economic theories and the attached ideologies, regardless by which prophet, belong to the past line of humanity's mistakes and the sooner we get rid of them the more chance our grandchildren will have for surviving as human beings, instead of brainwashed puppets of some ideological crime wave.

I fought against communism for 45 years and will fight against this disgusting, fascist crime wave of unfettered capitalism as long as I can breathe, without having to rely on the words of any dead prophet.

The physical evidence of the destruction caused by these crooks, fraudulently called a "booming economy", is all around us and needs no scriptural crap by prophets to uncover it.
