Hate And Hysteria In Canadian News

Posted on Wednesday, June 14 at 14:01 by sthompson
Clearly, CNN would have to rely on "experts" to express the proper animus toward radical Islam, so helpful in reinforcing Washington's arguments about the need for US military actions in Iraq and Afghanistan, and possibly even a strike against Iran. Now that we in Canada allegedly have our own homegrown terrorism, we have apparently entered the big leagues of media terrorism hysteria. Soon our television news programs will be just like CNN. It will be all security, all the time. So much for other news. Some commentators here seem almost elated by the turn of events. Finally, we can get on with the job of redesigning Canada more along the lines of a repressive fortress, stamping out soft-headed notions like tolerance, civil rights and respect for other cultures... I'm not surprised and I don't know why you are. Michael Berg has opposed the war in Iraq for some time. The bigger question is why he let his son go there in the first place.

  2. Thu Jun 15, 2006 12:44 am
His son obviously felt different than he.
I heard a would be mass murderer complain that he was tortured by Canada in jail because he wasn't given ordinary eating utensils. He has a chorus backing him in these heady claims.
Now who's hysterical and who's not?

The last place his son was seen alive was in US custody.

The video is of the decapitation of a lifeless body. If he'd been alive, the whole room would have been fire-hosed in blood from his severed arteries, as the guy was sawing off his head.

Zarqawi had nothing to do with this guy's torture, murder, and false flag propaganda video.

What do you THINK the CIA and SAS guys are doing in Iraq, anyway, as they run around dressed up as arabs? They're not handing out lollipops.

"What do you THINK the CIA and SAS guys are doing in Iraq, anyway, as they run around dressed up as arabs? They're not handing out lollipops."

No, they are OBVIOULSY executing their own citizens!

"Zarqawi had nothing to do with this guy's torture, murder, and false flag propaganda video."

Berg’s own father believes it was the Zarkman and his band of merry freedom fighters who murdered his son. On what grounds do you make this claim?

All I saw was a hooded man in that video, did you actually see Zarqawi?

I suspect that Micheal knows better than to engange in a discussion that will be labeled as a "conspiracy theory" by his many well funded and equipped detractors.

Beheaded man's father: Revenge breeds revenge

Michael Berg Speaks
Well, you can’t prove it’s *not* the Zarkman under the hood now can you?

Welcome to the world of your own logic. Take a look at the Toronto Terror threads if you don't believe me.

Thanks for the CNN link – watched it live, actually.

As for the peace rally video or whatever that was, I didn’t bother wasting my time.

You can't prove it was Zarquari ethier. But since he was known to have an artificial leg, and a tatoo on his hand and the hooded figure in the video appears to have nethier . . .
Here's a good debunking of the video:
According to Sarah Daniel, she met the guy who actually did it, and while he ain’t the Zarkman, he ain’t no “agents provocateurs” either:
Let me correct this to make it more accurate: "she claims to have met with a guy who claims that he actually did it."

The fact is that we have no idea who really killed Nick Berg, however it's unlikely that the real al-Zarqawi did it, since he remained hooded yet the text in the video clearly stated that al-Zarqawi was the head chopper. Why would al-Zarqawi keep a hood over his face when his face was well known already, and he was supposedly confessing to the crime right on video?

Where is the incessant media yapping over the abject failure of the Harper government to address it's many election promises? This is far and away more important than some "terrorist" blather............
---
RickW
Geez Rick... the Harper Tories have already accomplished more of their election promises in the last 5 months than the Liberals did in 13 years of government. How about NAFTA, the GST, Kyoto, etc...

That was about the worst cheap shot I've seen here.

Considering an Icebreaker takes at least a year to build . . .I agree.

Where is the announcement for the beginning of construction of the deepsea port? We need that before icebreakers. Sovereignty is much more important than some flap over "terrorists". Yet money is beginning to flow like water for the latter (for all the good it will do), and not a dime for the former...........

BTW, I don't care what the Liberals promised in 13 years. We all knew that's all they were - promises. The only reason the Libs stayed in power as long as they did was lack of creditable oppositon. The Libs could have (and very nearly did) promise the moon and the stars.

    rearguard,

"Why would al-Zarqawi keep a hood over his face when his face was well known already, and he was supposedly confessing to the crime right on video?"

That question requires too much logic rearguard for those that don't question.
