A court case may be the only thing someone like Harper and Emerson will understand. They remind me of out of control little boys that need someone to set some boundaries for them. Emerson can't blame enough other people for his actions. Why is that so many so called grown men can't take responsibility for the consequences of their unprincipled actions? Aren't guys like Harper the ones that expect everyone else to be responsible for themselves? Christ, even Shiela Copps went back to the constituents with a by-election.
--- "And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music." Friedrich Nietzsche
Today (Sunday Feb. 19) on CBC Radio One: Cross-Country
Check-up asks the question: "When is it acceptable to change
sides?" as in the David Emerson case.
Today is also the day, at 2:00 PM in Vancouver, when the "De-
Elect David Emerson" protest gets under way, in front of Emerson's
constituency office.
This course of action, initially advocated by Pete D. is again, one of those useful things which can be done to build awarenes, if nothing else, and "movement". This latter which is especially needed.
It is one of those few things which can be done right now, to reach across the "Gulf of Apathy", separating activists and the great body public, perhaps rousing their attention and interest.
I support it.
But damn, if I don't really tlike that quote from Nietzsche, "And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music."

It makes me think of mother.
