Harper Coached During CBC Town Hall?

Posted on Saturday, June 26 at 02:15 by Action-Jackson
There's an interesting post over at BlogsCanada about whether or not Harper was being coached during a recently televised CBC townhall. He was wearing an earpiece during the whole show (and both Layton and Martin had appeared without earpieces). I wonder if anyone has any contacts in the press or with other parties who could follow this up and get Harper to respond.

A quote from the post:

"Harper wore a little earbud earphone during the entire broadcast, and he fiddled with it a number of times to stop it popping out.

This contrasted dramatically with both Layton and Martin who, during their "town halls", did not need continual coaching during the broadcast, as neither wore an earphone."

I also saw the cord going down his neck and wondered what it was for. I just assumed it had something to do with being on TV but if neither of the other candidates had it I would say that he had to be coached by his handlers. If true, I guess this would mean we would have a prime minister who can't think on his feet. But then again it would be pretty hard to be on his feet while he's kissing president Bush's ass.

If you watch his sneaky smile, his lips look like they have an anus shape to them.

    Go figure !

Jim you have to stop looking, you are starting to sound like 4Canada; perhaps the cord around his neck was to yank him off the stage if he got out of line?

Someone on that post said, 'we all need a good dose of conservatism'; another responded 'you mean like, 'syphillis'...' yep sure sounds comparable, makes you blind...so we won't be able to see the thieves walking away with our country!

And Jim did you notice how very becoming Harper looked in that shade of Bushit?

And Flat Cath, and hoopoe, the cord? One word. Puppet!

I have to come clean here though, I'm almost certain Martin and Layton were wearing earpieces as well. Harper's was more noticeable because it appeared to irritate him.

I was at Layton's townhall here in Vancouver. I was about twenty feet from him. It didn't look like he was wearing an earpiece (and he didn't have that kind of FBI bodyguard uptight movement it causes). Could be wrong though. Would be an interesting story for one of the media shows on CBC.
