US Acknowledges Torture At Guantanamo; In Iraq, Afghanistan - UN

'They are no longer trying to duck this and have respected their obligation to inform the UN,' the Committee member said. 'They they will have to explain themselves (to the Committee). Nothing should be kept in the dark,' he said. UN sources said this is the first time the world body has received such a frank statement on torture from US authorities.     To Canadians, a winter without NHL is considered "torture". As for me, I remain unmoved. I guess that just makes me some kind of trailer trash, toothless hillbilly, Christian. If "ya'll" got any comments,......bring it on !

    Well, I don't know about the "trailer trash, toothless hillbilly" part, but if you can condone torture, I would lose the moniker "Christian".

    No Jesse, they don't face hard truths, it interferes with their carefully contrived rationaizations. And they call others mamby pamby. The truth is stern stuff, not for the faint of heart.

We’re not likely to learn the stern, hard details until then, short of leaks.</p> <p>Call me what you will, but I believe that ends do <b>not</b> justify means.
