In July, Marathon agreed to buy Western Oil Sands for about US$5.56-billion, giving the U.S. oil company a foothold in one of the world's most promising streams of new crude oil.

    Gosh Darn It!
    However, I will posit that this sale puts us yet one step closer to the much-sought-after water diversions the Yankees covet. Alcan was allowed to divert river systems. I have no doubt that provision will be transferred to RT, to be used at the latter's discretion (and whewn they think they can get away with it).
