I didn\'t know that the territories have this different kind of election...I am quite intriqued, no party...
If we could actually vote for the person, and then hold that person accountable, that would certainly relieve Canadians of the confusion involved with parties! The candidates would actually have to be informed know their constituency and maybe even meet them, you know pound the pavement and show us who they are, not just what the party stands for...I can definitely see benefits to this system. I wonder if anyone has considered this for the rest of Canada, especially as we watch the liberal party sink on a titanic type program, the pc\'s are floundering, and the ndp has not gained the confidence of the majority of Canadians, I am still hoping the ndp will, but if the party system can be this corrupt, wouldn\'t independants be more accountable?

I think this system would be most excellent. I can just imagine an independent having to be more responsible and accountable than having the \"group mentality\" or the I didn\'t know, or blame him or her. It would be just you standing there taking the heat or,(wouldn\'t it be a nice change), the glory.
