Is this the Tet Offensive, in response to Bush's remarks on Vietnam? It seems coordinated with the Senate elections, and will no doubt turn into a bloodbath, for both sides.

They never mentioned this on Canada Now but they did have a story about the "military style" parades held by sunni's in "many" cities outside of Baghdad. Then Rummy on TV saying that the "Iraqi's are going to have to provide security themselves and they're going to have to do it sooner rather than later".
Yesterday Bush admitted that there are similarities between Vietnam and Iraq.
Interesting, I wonder if an exit strategy is in the works.

Nay! George want's Syria & Iran to help make peace in Iraq. Besides Israel has already said that they would bomb Iran just for Blair & Bush. George don't want to attack another country untill after the election.Maybe Canada can pull out of Afghanistan and Bush can send his troops. "We had to pull the troops from Iraq to fight in Afghanistan because no one else will". Perhaps this is what Geo & Steve planned from the start. Maybe that's the reason Harper is trying so hard not to get elected again.

There was a story on the National last night about the shia's taking full control of a city in the south. They said it was only briefly but still couple that with the military style parades of the sunnis and you get a real different picture than that of the American Super Power on cake walk eh. Then the story switched gears and they started to speculate that we might see a shift in strategy after the elections are over. They were speculating on whether or not they will try to get out of Iraq.
And now that you say it, I wonder if Harpless would pull out of Afghanistan in order to win a majority? Naw, that doesn't sound very realistic.

I'm sure the two got something cooking on the stove. Manipulation at home and the Middle East can make an interesting stew. Neither Chef want's out of the kitchen, so they'll come up with something palatable beforehand. Unfortunatly we will still be eating shit.

Whatever you do, just don't call it 'cut and run'. It might give the public the wrong idea.
